We'll ask a few questions about your project — what you need, what's not working with your current site (if you have one), and what you want the new one to achieve. No interrogation. Just enough to know whether we're a good fit.

We have a conversation

A 20-minute call (or email thread — your call) where we dig into what you actually need. Not what a template assumes you need.

This is where most agencies would send a salesperson. You'll speak to Rob — the person who'll build your site. He'll ask about your business, your audience, what's working and what isn't. If we're not the right fit, he'll tell you straight and point you elsewhere.

If we are a good fit, you'll get a fixed-price proposal within 2 working days. No "bespoke quote" that arrives three weeks later. No pricing that mysteriously expands after you say yes.

Content & structure first

Before a single line of code, we work out what every page needs to say and where everything goes. Your message shapes the design — not the other way around.

You'll get a sitemap showing every page and what's on it, plus content guidelines so you know exactly what we need from you. If you've got existing content, we'll work with it. If you need help writing it, we'll point you in the right direction.

Design & creative direction

We create a creative direction document — colours, typography, spacing, component style, and visual mood — before any design work begins. You see the direction and sign off on it. No surprises later.

Then we build the homepage first. You review it in a real browser. Once it's right, we build the rest of the site page by page — each one reviewed before we move to the next. No "here's your finished website" delivery where you haven't seen anything for weeks.

Build

Clean, custom-built HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No page builders. No bloated themes. Every line of code has a reason to exist.

We use the right tools for the job: Tailwind CSS for utility-first styling, Alpine.js for lightweight interactivity, and 11ty for static site generation. For web applications, we build with PHP 8.x, Laravel, and MySQL — proven, reliable technologies that don't vanish when a framework goes out of fashion.

Accessibility is baked in from line one — WCAG AA compliance as standard. SEO is structural, not an afterthought: proper heading hierarchy, semantic HTML, schema markup, and clean URLs.

Testing & quality review

Every site goes through two separate reviews before launch:

• Build audit — technical checks: performance, accessibility, broken links, markup validation, mobile responsiveness, security headers
• Design review — visual quality check: colour consistency, spacing rhythm, typography, component polish, overall feel

If either review flags issues, we fix them before you ever see the site. Only work that passes both gates reaches you for review.

You review

You'll get a private test URL where you can see the complete, working site before anyone else. Click around. Test the forms. View it on your phone. Share it with colleagues if you want.

Feedback goes directly to Rob — no project manager interpreting, no relay race. If something needs changing, he changes it. Most adjustments happen within 24 hours.
